These terms are between Muzeqo Pty Ltd, the operator of Muzeqo™, and the school, studio or teacher that creates an account (“the school”). By creating a school you accept them on its behalf.
Muzeqo provides scheduling, attendance, invoicing, payments through Stripe, teacher pay, messaging, events and related tools as described on this website. We may improve or change features; we will not remove a core capability without notice.
The school controls who is invited and in which role. Each person keeps their sign-in (password, passkey, Google account) secure and tells us of any misuse. Teachers see only the students assigned to them; families see only their own children; the school is responsible for the roles it grants.
New schools receive a 30-day free trial without a card. Plans are priced in Australian dollars including GST and billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe. A plan can be changed or cancelled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. When a trial ends or a plan is cancelled nothing is deleted; new additions are capped until a plan is chosen. Plans are what schools pay Muzeqo for the service; the practice tools are bought by families themselves (Learn at home, below), never through a plan. We give at least 30 days’ notice by e-mail before a plan price changes; the new price applies from the school’s first billing period after that notice, and a school may cancel before it takes effect.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply to every plan and are not excluded by our terms; in New Zealand, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 applies where it covers you.
A family that subscribes to Muzeqo directly while it belongs to a school or teacher on Muzeqo earns that school or teacher A$1.00 of credit towards its own Muzeqo plan for each payment the family makes. Credit lasts twelve months from the day it is earned, is held up to twice the school's monthly plan price, comes off the school's next plan invoice as a discount on that invoice, and has no cash value.
Learn at home is a Muzeqo membership for a parent or an adult learner who has no school or teacher on Muzeqo. It opens the practice library and tools described on this website for everyone in the family on one subscription, and it is always bought by an adult. The tools, including Muzeqo AI features, may change; AI features are included while available and are not promised.
Muzeqo is the seller. The membership is paid to Muzeqo through its own Stripe account, not through a school. The price is A$10 a month or A$100 a year, including GST.
The first 7 days are free, once per family. A card or other payment method is taken when you sign up and nothing is charged until the free days end; we remind you before they do. You may cancel at any time in the app (Manage, on the Practice page), and access runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
If a payment fails, access continues for 14 days while you update your payment details. If it is still unpaid after that, access ends.
A family that belongs to a school or teacher on Muzeqo gets the practice tools the same way: a parent takes out this membership (“full access”) for the library, the learning pathway and the games for the students the paying parent has. Muzeqo is the seller, and the school is not a party to it: a school gives families their login to Muzeqo, but does not sell, include or charge for the practice tools.
We give at least 30 days’ notice by e-mail before the Learn at home price changes, and a family may cancel before the new price applies. If the practice library is unavailable for more than seven days in a row for a reason within our control, Muzeqo, as the seller, credits or refunds the family for that time on request; the school is never involved.
A teacher can keep a CV in Muzeqo. The CV belongs to the teacher, not to a school, and the teacher keeps it if they leave a school. The teacher writes it, chooses what to show, and may print it or share it with a private link.
A CV may show a summary of the lessons the teacher has taught at a school, taken from that school’s records. It shows counts only, such as a rounded number of lessons, a band for the number of students and the instruments taught, and never a student’s name. A teacher cannot change the counts but may hide any line.
A school decides whether its teachers’ CVs show these counts at all, and whether the school appears by name or only in general terms, such as “a music school in Victoria”. A school can switch the counts off at any time. Existing schools will have 30 days’ notice, with the switch to turn the counts off, before counts first appear on CVs.
A teacher may ask Muzeqo to check a qualification or registration against the official register, such as a Working with Children Check, a teacher registration, a degree, first aid or CPR training or an ABN. Where the register shows it as current, the CV and the schools the teacher chooses to share it with show “Checked by Muzeqo”, with the date we looked and the expiry the register shows. Anything we cannot check is shown as the teacher’s own statement, with no badge.
A Muzeqo check does not replace an employer’s legal checks. It records what an official register showed on the day we looked. Each school or employer stays responsible for its own checks and duties under the law of its state or territory, and should check a card itself where the law requires. Muzeqo does not guarantee a teacher’s suitability or identity.
A badge can go out of date. A live CV link shows a check’s current status each time it is opened and is the only current view: a printed or saved copy is correct only for the day it was made. If a check is due for a recheck or has expired, the live link says so.
A teacher may add only their own details and qualifications, and must keep them accurate. A teacher chooses which schools see their checks, and can stop sharing, turn off a link or withdraw a check at any time. How we handle this information is set out in the privacy policy.
School records belong to the school. We process them only to provide the service, keep them separated from other schools’ data, and will provide an export on request. When a plan is cancelled or a trial ends the records stay, so the school can return or export them; we delete them within 30 days of the school’s written request. In handling personal information the school has entered, we act on the school’s instructions and only to provide the service, keep it in Australia (see the privacy policy), tell the school without undue delay of any data breach that involves its records, and delete or return it when the school asks.
The service may not be used to send unsolicited messages, to store content that is unlawful or harmful, or to attempt to access another school’s data. Text messages are sent only to people who have given the school their number for that purpose.
Card payments and subscriptions are processed by Stripe under its own terms; e-mail by Resend; text messages by Twilio. Fees charged by those providers (for example Stripe’s per-transaction fee) are the school’s own.
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it and offer no service-level agreement. Support is through the contact page and on 1300 241 143, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm Melbourne time, excluding public holidays. We give schools at least 48 hours’ notice by e-mail of planned maintenance that would take the service offline, and schedule it outside school hours.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or, for a customer in New Zealand, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where a guarantee can lawfully be limited, our liability for a failure to comply with it is limited, at our choice, to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
To the extent the law allows, Muzeqo Pty Ltd is not liable for loss of profit, revenue or data, or for indirect or consequential loss, however it arises, and our total liability to a school for all other claims connected with the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the plan fees that school paid us in that period. The school is responsible for the accuracy of the records it enters, for the people it gives access to, and for its own obligations to its students, families and staff.
Either side may end the agreement at any time; see Plans, trial and payment for the effect on billing and data. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms after notice, except where immediate action is needed to protect other users.
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of Victoria have jurisdiction. Nothing in this clause limits a consumer’s rights under the Australian Consumer Law or, in New Zealand, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
