Students and families
Every student, guardian, instrument and note in one profile the office, the teacher and the family each see their own view of.
See how students and families worksData import and setup
A CSV import wizard that recognises the columns other systems export, previews every row with its problems, imports with a per-row savepoint and can be undone — and a setup assistant on the dashboard that tells you what to do next from your real data.
Students (up to 2,000 rows a file) with their guardians, instruments, teacher, lesson type and notes; teachers (up to 200) with their instruments and bio; lesson types (up to 500) with price, kind and whether GST applies. Templates for each are published and generated from the same field list the wizard reads, so they never drift.
Upload the file and the wizard proposes a mapping from the header names other systems and spreadsheets use (“Parent/Guardian Email Address”, “Mobile”, “Lesson format”) and from the values themselves when a header says nothing useful. Check or change any column, then preview.
Every row is shown with its typed values, blocking problems and warnings, numbered as in your spreadsheet. Names are tidied (ALL CAPS title-cased, “Surname, Given” understood), phone numbers normalised, duplicates matched against what you already have. Import writes each row through the same code as the forms — an imported student is exactly what the form would have made — with a savepoint per row, and the whole import can be undone.
The dashboard carries a checklist for a new school (instruments, lesson types and prices, a term, rooms, a teacher, a student and their family, the first lesson) and rule-based tips worked out from real counts — “3 teachers have no pay rule”, “No term covers next week” — each linking to the page that fixes it. Tips fire only for people allowed to act on them and can be dismissed.
Running locally, the app seeds a complete demo school. In production we walk you through your own set-up on a call: book one from the contact page.
In the catalogue
One line each here; the full list, by group, is Everything Muzeqo provides. Each name opens its group there.
A one-person studio has no Teachers list, Teacher pay or Announcements, and My teaching profile is one tap away.
Self-serve sign-up by form or Google creates the school with its owner, default instruments and settings, described as a School, Academy, Institute and Organisation or an independent teacher; nothing is created until Create school.
Today’s lessons with teacher, room and status, and stats for lessons, teachers working, cancellations, teaching hours, attendance rate, revenue, payments, outstanding invoices, estimated teacher pay and unread messages.
An ordered checklist (school details, instruments, lesson types, term, rooms, teacher, student, first lesson) that ticks itself off, and rule-based tips from real counts that Muzeqo AI explains (which needs Muzeqo AI on for the school), each linking to the fix and dismissable.
Drop CSV exports from My Music Staff, Pike13, Teachworks, Opus1, Duet Partner, Jackrabbit, Google Contacts, Outlook, Xero, vCard or iCalendar; files are recognised by their headings, columns mapped, every row checked, failed rows downloaded, and a whole import or batch undone in one click.
Blank CSV templates for students and parents, teachers, and lesson types, generated from the import’s own columns so they never drift; teacher invitations from an import are held until the office chooses to send them.
Columns the header rules left unmatched, and ambiguous date order, are matched by Muzeqo AI from headings only; needs Muzeqo AI on for the school.
Name, logo, accent colour, address, ABN, time zone, teaching days and whether lessons are arranged by rooms or by groups.
Every portal shares one frame in the school’s own accent colour: a sidebar on desktop, bottom tabs plus a More drawer on phones, with the date, Messages, the bell and the profile menu.
Visible focus rings on every control, every animation stilled or shortened when the device asks for reduced motion, live regions that announce counts and suggestions, and the website’s moving pictures described for screen readers.
Money formatted for Australia in Australian dollars, GST-inclusive prices, every school on its own time zone, the state guessed at sign-up, +61 phone numbers, BECS debits and ABA files.
